Orange Shirt Day is a day when we honour the Indigenous children who were sent away to residential schools in Canada and promote awareness of this period of time in Canadian history.  On Wednesday, September 30, 2020, the Rotary Club of Prince Albert supported Orange Shirt Day by hosting the Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan, Russell Mirasty.  His Honour ran the entire length of the Rotary Trail with his son, Matthew, a member of the Rotary Club of Prince Albert.  After completing the run, His Honour spoke briefly about his personal experience with residential schools and the significance of Orange Shirt Day to all Canadians. Thank you to all Rotarians and supporters who attended—we hope to see you next year!
